IRISH LANGUAGE CONVERSATION CLASSES starting back after the Christmas break!

Monday night classes (Beginners) start back on the 16th @ 7

Wednesday afternoon classes (Beginners & Advanced) start back on the 18th @ 1pm

Friday evening classes (Beginners, Intermediate & Advanced) start back on the 13th @ 7.

All in Govanhill Neighbourhood Centre, 6 Daisy St, G42 8JL

Conradh Na Gaeilge News : Annual Irish Language Christmas Card competition

To promote the use of the Irish language abroad, Glór na nGael is running an annual Irish language Christmas Card competition for Irish speakers living overseas. with some support from the Emigrant Support Programme (ESP).

An Crann Og ag teacht go Glaschú!

A group of talented young musicians from An Crann Og, in Gaoth Dobhair, will be performing a concert at the Glasgow Gaelic School, 147 Berkeley Street, this coming Saturday 1st October at 8pm.

This follows on from the trip students from the Gaelic school took from Glasgow over to Gaoth Dobhair a few weeks ago.

Tá an céad Féile na Gaeilge Glaschú ag tosú !
The first Glasgow Irish Language Festival is starting!

Tuesday, June 14th

We are proud to jointly host , with Irish Pages literary journal ( , an evening of contemporary poetry in Irish and Scottish Gaelic.
Reading their poems in Irish & English will be Gabriel Rosenstock, Máirín Uí Fhearraigh & Rody Gorman.
Gabriel is one of the best known and highly respected poets in the Irish language, Máirín is an emerging name from Gabhla/Gola - now living in Gaoth Dobhair - and Rody is a Dublin-born poet, widely published in Irish, Gaidhlig & English .
We are delighted to also welcome well-known Gaidhlig poet Niall O'Gallagher .

This FREE event will be held from 7pm - 9pm in the Stirling Room of the Mitchell Library.

AN CHEOLCHOIRM MHÓR / 'The Big Concert'. Saturday, June 18th

We are delighted to bring to Glasgow, from Gaoth Dobhair, the renowned Sean- Nós choir Cór Taobh a'Leitheid – it is sure to be a rare treat to see them in action!
Joining them on the night will be our own Ceoltóirí Chonradh na Gaeilge, the multi-prize winning Gaidhlig choir of the Glasgow Gaelic Musical Association (aka 'The GGs') and many more Glasgow Irish musicians and singers for what is set to be a great night's entertainment.

The concert is happening in Pollokshaws Burgh Hall, 2025 Pollokshaws Road, G43 1NE, starting at 7:30.

Our annual bi-lingual quiz with questions in English & Irish.
