Conradh Na Gaeilge Events : Féile na Gaeilge Glaschú: Oíche na Scriobhneoirí/Writers Night

Conradh na Gaeilge Glaschú presents:
Oíche na Scriobhneoirí – Writers Night

Part of Féile na Gaeilge Glaschú 2012 (Glasgow’s Irish Language Festival).

The renowned writer’s group , Ciorcal Scribhneoireachta Gaoth Dobhair , from the Donegal Gaeltacht visit Scotland together for the first time to present readings from their recently published book of poems & short stories 'go dtí an lá ban'

They will be joined by local Gaidhlig writers from The Scottish Writers Centre reading from their works.

Singer/musicians Doiminic Mac Giolla Bhride & Kayla Reed will also be performing.

They will be joined by local Gaidhlig writers from The Scottish Writers Centre reading from their works.

The writers coming over from Donegal are:
Máirín Uí Fhearraigh, Síle Uí Ghallchóir, Máire Wren & Eoghan Mac Giolla Bhride .

Máirín is returning to Glasgow after reading at Oíche na Filíochta at Féile na Gaeilge Glaschú 2011.

Singer/musicians Doiminic Mac Giolla Bhride & Kayla Reed will also be performing, with Kayla playing some tunes on the harp to accompany some of Máire's readings.

The writers will be showing some images of Donegal and the locality that inspires them.
Stories & poems will be introduced in English as well as Gaeilge/Gaidhlig to help non-fluent speakers.
